How will aclcoholism the cause of pancreatitis?

Alcoholism is usually no damage to the liver, the pancreas is not?

Alcohol can damage all your organs. Drinking excessively can cause swelling ALL your organs. My father died from drinking burst b / c his esophogus (sp). There was no more room to swell, and had internal bleeding in his whole body when it burst.
